Edo Ghost Stories Night Walk
The old city told through its ghost stories — and what those stories say about the people who told them.
Launching soon

Edo was a city of storytellers, and many of its most lasting stories were about the dead. On this evening walk we visit quiet corners of Nihonbashi and Ningyocho and hear the kind of tales that were once told by candlelight.
The aim is not to frighten but to understand: what people feared, what they hoped for, and how the city they lived in shaped the stories they told.
The walk (planned)
- Meet near a station in the Nihonbashi area after dark
- Stories at small shrines, bridges and old street corners
- Context on everyday life in Edo-period Tokyo
- Finish near a station
