Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to the walking tours operated by Ichigo Japan (一期), a sole proprietorship operated by Ichigo Katakura (“we”, “us”), and to the use of this website.

1. Bookings

Tours are booked through third-party online travel platforms such as GetYourGuide or Viator. Payment, booking confirmation and refunds are handled by the platform you book with, and that platform’s terms also apply to your booking. We do not take payment directly on this website.

2. Tour content

Tour descriptions on this website are provided in good faith. Routes, stops and timing may be adjusted on the day because of weather, crowds, closures or other circumstances, so that the tour can run safely and smoothly.

3. Participants’ responsibilities

  • Arrive at the meeting point on time. We may not be able to wait for late arrivals.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather.
  • Follow the guide’s instructions and respect local residents, businesses, shrines and temples.
  • Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Tell us in advance about any health condition, mobility need or allergy relevant to the tour.

We may refuse or end participation for anyone whose behavior endangers or seriously disturbs others, including excessive intoxication. In that case no refund may be given.

4. Cancellation

Cancellations and refunds follow our Cancellation Policy and the terms shown on the booking platform.

5. Personal belongings and safety

Participants are responsible for their own belongings. Tours take place on public streets; please take care with traffic, steps and uneven surfaces. We recommend that you have travel insurance.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, or from a participant’s failure to follow these terms or the guide’s instructions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Photographs

Please be considerate when taking photographs of people and private property. We will not publish photos in which you can be identified without your permission.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
